Immunizations & Vaccinations

Immunizations

Immunizations are a vital part of protecting the health of individuals, families, and our entire community. At Nemaha County Community Health Services, we offer a full range of recommended vaccines for people of all ages—from infancy through adulthood. Whether you're bringing in a child for routine shots, preparing a teen for school or college, or staying up to date as an adult, we’re here to make the process simple, safe, and supportive.

Our nurses follow CDC-recommended guidelines and are available to answer your questions, review vaccine records, and help you stay on schedule. We accept both public and private insurance and participate in the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program to ensure that no child is turned away due to inability to pay. Vaccines are available for all residents of Nemaha County, regardless of income, insurance, or immigration status.

Explore the sections below to learn more about which vaccines are recommended for each age group—and how we can help protect your health at every stage of life. To schedule an appointment, call us at 785-284-2152.

Infants and Children

Infants and children need a variety of series of vaccines to protect them from many deadly diseases. We are participators in the Vaccines for Children program. No child will ever be turned away for a vaccine because of inability to pay.

Adolescents

As they grow and begin to transition towards adulthood, teens need their own series of vaccines. We provide vaccines in our clinics as well as outreach clinics in Nemaha County Schools.

Adults

Vaccines are beneficial throughout the lifespan. We can provide some travel vaccines. Adults over 60 should consult with their healthcare providers for recommendations on vaccines that can keep you healthy. We also participate in the Cocoon program to help vaccinate grandparents against deadly diseases before newborns join their families.
