About Us

Public Health Services began in Nemaha County in 1979 through the Nemaha County Home Health Agency. Services and staff were added throughout the years to meet continually growing public health needs. Additional Kansas Department of Health and Environment Grants and an alliance with the Nemaha County Commission also served to expand our role in Nemaha County. The skilled home care portion of the agency was merged with the Sabetha Community Hospital in 1996. Nemaha County Community Health Services was formed on October 1, 1996 to carry on the public health services that were an integral part of the agency.

Our public health staff are dedicated to providing quality services right here in Nemaha County. We live in your communities, shop at your businesses and cheer on the hometown teams. We have children at local schools, spouses working in the community, and friends and families who benefit from public health services.
