About the Role
Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled registered nurse for our WIC and MCH Program. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of maternal child nursing. This position is part time working 3 days a week on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The main office is located in Sabetha and travel required to our Seneca office occasionally. Additional travel required for MCH Home Visits.
Responsibilities:
-Conduct MCH Home Visits to prenatal and postnatal families
-Serve as the primary Women, Infant, Children (WIC) nurse
-Conduct health assessments/Kan-Be-Healthy exams on infant and children
-Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
-Provide education to new parents
-Option to obtain multiple certificates through trainings (paid for by NCCHS) including lactation counselor, safe sleep expert, etc.
-Administer vaccinations
-Provide public health education
-Additional public health nursing duties
Requirements
5 years of nursing experience
Must hold a current Kansas nursing license
Ability to manage medical records efficiently
Experience in caring for infants and toddlers, providing guidance to new parents on best practices.
