In partnership with Sabetha Community Hospital and Sabetha Family Practice, we are proud to offer comprehensive breastfeeding support services to families in Nemaha County. Our program includes both in-hospital breastfeeding consultations to assist mothers and newborns immediately after birth, as well as ongoing care through our dedicated breastfeeding clinic located at our office.

Our certified breastfeeding coordinator is specially trained to support mothers and babies at every stage of their breastfeeding journey—whether you are just beginning, experiencing challenges, or seeking advice to continue successfully. We understand that every breastfeeding experience is unique, and we provide personalized guidance tailored to your individual needs.

Our breastfeeding clinic is open to all mothers living in Nemaha County, regardless of where they delivered their baby or their background. We welcome you to access this supportive service to help ensure a positive and healthy breastfeeding experience for both you and your baby.
Breastfeeding is a beautiful and important journey, but it often comes with a learning curve that involves not just the mother, but the entire family. At Nemaha County Community Health Services (NCCHS), we recognize the vital role that family support plays in a mother’s breastfeeding success and overall well-being.

To help families navigate this journey, NCCHS offers both prenatal and postnatal home visits designed to provide personalized assistance and education. During these visits, our trained professionals work closely with new and expectant mothers, as well as other family caregivers, to share information, answer questions, and provide practical strategies to support breastfeeding. Whether it’s guidance on latch techniques, managing common challenges, or creating a supportive home environment, we are here to help every step of the way.

Our dedicated breastfeeding coordinator also offers specialized education services focused on how partners, grandparents, and other family members can actively support new mothers and babies. These services empower families to create a nurturing environment that encourages successful breastfeeding and strengthens family bonds.
In addition to our home visiting program, mothers who qualify for the WIC program have access to extra breastfeeding education, ongoing support, and supplemental food packages designed to help nourish both mother and baby during this critical time. WIC’s comprehensive breastfeeding support complements the services offered by NCCHS to ensure families have the resources they need to thrive.

By combining education, personalized support, and community resources, NCCHS is committed to helping families in Nemaha County experience a positive and confident breastfeeding journey.
